Bishop Schneider at Carlow Cathedral

On 2nd December, 2013, St. Conleth's Catholic Heritage Association had the privilege to organise the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Gregorian Rite by His Excellency, Bishop Athanasius Schneider.  After Mass, also through the kindness of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin and the Administrator of Carlow Cathedral, Bishop Schneider gave a talk on his new book Corpus Christi - Holy Communion and the Renewal of the Church, in the Cathedral Parish Center.

FIUV XXIst General Assembly - Mass 11 November 2013

To conclude the proceedings of the General Assembly, Dom Pablo Colino, Canon of St. Peter's Basilica and Director Emeritus of the Cappella Giulia, celebrated a Solemn High Mass in the Chapel of the Choir of St. Peter's Basilica.  He had celebrated the opening Mass at the Altar of the Purification for the XIXth General Assembly in 2009.

The Music for this Mass was the Coronation Mass (Mozart), Exsultate Jubilate (Alleluia) (Mozart), Ave Verum (Mozart), O sacrum convivium (Messiaen), Organ: Apparition de l’Église éternelle (Messiaen).

FIUV XXIst General Assembly - Open Forum 10 November 2013

In the afternoon of Sunday, 10th November, the General Assembly reconvened in Open Forum.  The delegates and friends were addressed by His Eminence, Dario, Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, Prefect Emeritus of the S. Cong. for the Clergy and President Emeritus of the Pont. Commission Ecclesia Dei; Fr. Cassian Folsom, OSB, Abbot of the Monastery of San Benedetto, Norcia; Fr. William Barker, FSSP, Procurator of the Fraternity of St. Peter in Rome; and Fabio Barnabei, of the Cultural Center Lepanto, based in Rome.
