Christmas Holiday

Of the films of Deanna Durbin, this is not the most tasteful, even if you look hard for the moral thread. However, the scenes from Midnight Mass for Christmas at the very beginning of this clip are worth showing.

Happy Christmas!

I think you're a bit harsh on DD. Films can't be homeletic forms. There is a morality tale within the movie and religious things are treated respectfully. That is as much as can be expected in my view. A blessed Christmas to all. Thank you for showing the Urbi et Orbi again this year.

I would like to add my Christmas and New Year wishes. I haven't always agreed with your postings but I have always appreciated your efforts for the Catholic faith. I like the calendar. Very colourful. Nice that it's free. I also like the scapular to st.joseph.

This is a really touching scene and it reminds me of the way that the old latin Mass was a very natural and emotional experience.

Very interesting clip. I'm going to look for the whole film. There was something very sweet about the setting.
