The Latin Mass in the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, Ireland

From October, 1996, to July, 2007, St. Conleth’s Catholic Heritage Association was in constant correspondence with the Bishops of Kildare and Leighlin regarding the provision of Holy Mass celebrated according to the 1962 Typical Edition of the Roman Missal on Sundays and Holydays, in accordance with Pope John Paul II’s Apostolic Letter, Ecclesia Dei Adflicta, of 2nd July, 1988.

From July, 2007, separate Parish-based groups in SEVEN PARISHES of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin have been seeking the implementation of Pope Benedict XVI’s Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum by means of the regular provision of Holy Mass celebrated according to the 1962 Typical Edition of the Roman Missal on Sundays and Holydays.

Since December, 2007, the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin has been planning one monthly Mass celebrated according to the 1962 Typical Edition of the Roman Missal. None has yet taken place. Details will follow if they become available.

Congratulations on this blog. God knows that Newbridge needs a shot in the arm of traditional Catholicism. The standard of litutgy in the town is very poor. Lots of extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist (usually women), lots of sermons about peace, love, the environment, social justice, blah blah. Never any mention of sin, the immortal soul, purgatory etc.
St Conleth pray for the Catholics of Kildare.

You will not have to wait too long. Be patient, be charitable, work hard and respectfully, pray for your Bishop and priests.

"You will not have to wait too long" Doesn't it say "since 1996" and "since December 2007"? How long is too long?

People in my Parish were patient in asking for the Tridentine Mass from the Pastor and the Bishop but they were also aware that souls are lost every minute. Every minute counts! Graces gained! Grace-filled opportunities lost!

The FSSPX came to our town. Their Priests are devout and their Masses are beautiful. They preach sound, orthodox sermons and they attract many souls back to the Sacraments and many converts to the Church.

What are the Pastors of Kildare waiting for? Too long is already come and gone! Call in the emergency services!

God bless all the wonderful clergy who are keeping the beautiful traditional Mass alive, and holding fast to the true laws of God. I pray for your success every day
