A good example of the pastoral attitude that took the active support of the local people and turned it into the plaything of a few outsiders who couldn't even keep their rattle inside the pram. Neither their egos nor the cause of the Latin Mass is well-served by this sorry situation.

Maol Íosa, You guys are just totally out of touch. You come in as guests and take over, insult your hosts and wonder why they don't support you? It would be a terrible indictment of the traditional Catholics of Kildare if they kept turning up to be kicked by you. As you sow so shall you reap. Just don't whinge when you get what you cultivated.
Bald Jesus you're a nasty piece of work and I'm glad there's no risk of happening upon the same Mass as you again. I attended those monthly Masses several times and just couldn't stick the pomposity. Most of that congregation were locals who, despite it being run to suit the same half dozen people, continued to turn up time after time. You should go away and take a good hard look at yourself and try to cause less trouble in future.
I have been watching the reports of these Masses but I did not want to comment. I think that there were clear problems from the very beginning and that this was always going to come to an end. I am saddened to read of how poorly the Masses have been attended but there was no possibility of a warm reception for something so obviously challenging.
I am extremely disheartened by this. I thought that the families from Dublin who controlled these Masses could have put aside their own programme for a short time to take account of the natives of the Diocese they needed to succeed.
I am confused. I thought this Mass was established by the bishop of Kildare (Dr Moriarty) and entrusted to the Fraternity of St Peter. Was that not the case?
As long as Masses are being organised by the laity there will be no progress. It's a very protestant model.
I was at a couple of the very early of these Masses. I didn't have much hope that this was going to work. The local people worked really hard so I know how sad it is that it had ended the way it has. Really surprised at Maol Iosa but it was a bad disposition that dogged the whole thing from the start. Very sad. Why can't traditionalists work together?
Wasn't this the last scheduled Mass? Sad to see this ending on such a low note. Inevitable, I suppose.
