Little Sisters of the Good Shepherd
Our good friends of the Institute of the Good Shepherd have informed us that their excellent initiative, a congregation of Apostolic Sisters known as the Little Sisters of the Good Shepherd, whose foundation has previously been reported in CHRISTVS REGNAT, now situated in the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon, is ready to admit candidates to a year of spirituality to begin in September, 2010. Young ladies who are less than 35 years of age and of good character can contact the Little Sisters:
By e-mail at: soeursdubonpasteur@hotmail.frBy telephone at: 00.33.06.66.06.47.94
By post at: Les Petites Soeurs du Bon Pasteur,
Presbytere,17, Rue Marceau,
83830 Bargemon,
FRANCE.
The Little Sisters are affiliated to the Institute of the Good Shepherd and are directed by M. l'Abbé Henri Forestier, I.B.P., formerly rector of the Institute's Seminary at Courtalain. The Spiritual Life of the Sisters is founded upon the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. Please spread the news to all!

This is good news! I will pray for many, many vocations!
God bless!
These sisters have a very important role in the Church. They have to fight the battle of sound doctrine just as much as the Priests of the IBP only they have to do it by love and by their lives. When do the IBP/Holy See discussions begin?
excellent, i'll be adding this Community to my Blog. thanks for the heads up.
pax. ps the diocese of Fréjus-Toulon is certainly become more and more excellent the last 8 years with varied faithful Religious.

Thanks to St. Conleth's Catholic Heritage Association for drawing our attention to this new Congregation. The need for women of apostolic zeal within the Church was never more urgent than today. Can we hope for year of nuns? Stephen
God bless these ladies!
This is a lovely idea. Good news. Are any Irish girls involved? They really should be told about it. The enclosed nuns are getting vocations but the apostolic sisterhoods have lost the look of nuns and so they dont get the vocations. If Irish girls knew about this maybe they would join up and bring back the great Irish tradition of nuns. That could be the theme of your Holy Year for Nuns.
Random (Angela),
Fr. F. tells me that they expect a visit from one young lady from England but, thus far, none from Ireland. It is early days. We can but hope and work for it...
God bless you!
How beautiful!
Thanks for leading me to your blog, Maeve! =) I shall add that last photo to my album of nuns http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=337213&id=549605183&l=477bec6ad9
I am so happy to hear that, they would be so close to my house but unfortunately I'm moving to England soon. Thanks for the news, I will put an article on my blog.
May the Lord bless you.

Congratulations to these good young ladies and to you for letting us know!
What a worthy enterprise! I see that the IBP have also established a brotherhood modelled on the Brothers of St. John de la Salle too.
I have visited this foundation twice with view of discernment. The latest situation is as follows:
They are now not linked with the Institute of the Good Shepherd. Their bishop has asked them to change their name. They are now the little Sisters of the Mission of Holy Mary (Petite Soeurs de la Mission Sainte Marie). Sister can be contacted at missionsaintemarie@hotmail.fr
They are traditional apostolic with strong enphasis on the Holy Rosary and cathechism.
